Elliot Vale
VINTAGE AMERICANA ART · MODERN FIGURATIVE
“The past is not gone; it simply changes color.”
Elliot Vale is an American figurative painter inspired by mid-century illustration, Western social life, ranch communities, roadside culture, and vintage American photography. His paintings feature cowboys, couples, family groups, riders, musicians, and everyday characters drawn from the visual memory of twentieth-century America.
Ellio works with faded cream, denim blue, dusty red, tobacco brown, sage green, and weathered black. His figures are simplified and often faceless, creating the feeling of a familiar but half-remembered photograph. The result is nostalgic without becoming overly literal.
